Back after a 2 week plus hiatus. Many things have been happening these past weeks, namely the biggest would be the Arise And Build! 3 weeks of fasting and overnight prayer meeting are over! Time for the next phase.. The pledge! I made mine already, and I a believing on God to supply my needs in the upcoming months!
Ps Kong was preaching a series of messages on giving, and there was one point in one particular session that struck me. If I remember correctly, it was the session on the Laws of the Harvest. The point regarding your tithe/offering being no strings attached struck me.
Lemme warm up a little.. Our tithe is holy, and God puts serious thought in this area of our giving..Adam and Eve had to tithe too! I can quote the verses but my bible isn't with me right now. Anyway, to make things clear, if you are wondering where on earth is Adam/Eve's tithe... its the tree of Good and Evil.. Some knowledge for ya!
Anyways, getting on before I sidetrack again..., the bible says that a tithe or offering must be dead. What it means that the tithe/offering that you are giving must come without any strings attached. Meaning that the money you give should be from YOUR own efforts and not from others. Meaning, you DON'T take your parent's money and say, "This is my offering!" NO! That would be YOUR parent's offering, not yours. Give something that is from you. Something that you put effort in to EARN. That is a true tithe/offering. It that way God can return you in Blessings of Abundance! =)
