Had bible study yesterday, and Bro Bobby siad a phrase that really made me sit up. Its sounds catchy, but it really makes sense. I quote "If God is not Lord of all, He is not Lord at all.".. That made me think. In my walk with God, is He Lord of EVERTHING in my life? My time, my money, my mind etc.. Come to think about it, it MAY seem that everything is dedicated to him, but sometimes we have that little portion that we have yet to surrender to God. I agree with what Bro Bobby said, that IS dangerous. That little thing can cause us to fall away from God, and make us go down the wrong path.
Its like a hike up a hill. Many paths to choose from. At a junction, what would you do? Take the path that someone has gone through and declared safe? Or choose a path that SEEMS right to you. At a junction in life, a person that has fully surrendered all to God has only one path, and that is the path set by God. A person that has some areas of their life not fully surrendered will have more paths.. Paths that may lead to death and destruction..
But hey, we are not a perfect people. We are IN the process of becoming one. BTW, perfect means mature believer... not some flawless person that has no fault. We may have fallen short of the glory of God, but we can safely say that we are TURNED towards Him because of our salvation. And we are moving towards that glory we have fallen short of one step at a time.
